MVにも出てくる「レタス🥬」、そういう意味があるんですね。。。
リズムが楽しいサビの「take the money and run」のフレーズは
アメリカのブルースロックバンドSteve Miller Bandの『Take the Money and Run』や、Woody Allenが1969年に監督した映画『Take the Money and Run』（邦題：「泥棒野郎」）があります。
「husband」は家父長制を促さないためにも「夫」と訳すべきですが
あえて皮肉っぽく、立場が上の意味を持つ「旦那」にしておきました。

DJイベントにて「埼玉にいる」空耳がバズり、
ご本人たちもその後の公演でボードを出して大盛り上がりの一曲になりました。
歌詞を見ながら聴いてみるとリズムの面白さに気がつきます。

ですが、次のセンテンスの最初の単語を前のセンテンスに引っ掛けて

と、クラシック音楽でいうところの「弱起」のようになっています。
リズムの面白さを大事にして、歌詞は抽象的にとどめているそうですが、
デビューEPからイギリスの資本主義や階級主義に皮肉を飛ばしてきた彼らは
この曲についてNMEのインタビューにて、次のようにも語っています。
「これは、ジェントリフィケーション、階級フェチ、そして人間の脳がいかに強力で、十分な時間と処理能力を組み合わせれば、それが支配するどんな人間の行動も正当化し、擁護し、そして／または継続することができるかについてのものだ。」
ジェントリフィケーション（gentrification）とは、地域に住む人々の階層が上がると同時に地域全体の質が向上することで、「都市の富裕化現象」や「都市の高級化」とも言います。
“スラム街のフェティッシュ”とは「国からの支援は少ないけどこんなに頑張ってます！」な地方自治体という感じでしょうか。「感動ポルノ」にも近いかもしれません。
「埼玉」は空耳からのバズでしたが、埼玉各地の現状からすると（実情を知っているわけではないので推測ですが）、あながち実際の英語の歌詞から程遠いとも言えないかもしれません。
Yard Actの歌詞、スポークン・ワードということもあってか、自由で面白いです。2024年の単独来日までに色々と訳してみたいです。
