マスキュリンな外見が他のアーティストと一線を画すため、「僕」としてみましたが
(he/him)と宣言しているわけではないので、間違っているかも。。
MVのキャプションには下記のように記載されています。
when soak first said the lyrics out loud in my living room, they sounded so beautifully vivid to me so we wanted to capture the way that felt again. to me the song is about this small intimate very still moment. so i like how this also kinda has that energy.
Soakが初めて私のリビングルームで歌詞を声に出して読んだとき、それがとても鮮やかに美しく聞こえて、だから、その感じをもう一度捉えたかったんです。この曲は、私にとって小さくて親密で、とても静かな瞬間を描いたものです。その雰囲気がこの曲にもあるのが気に入っています。
原曲はSOAK feat. Gemma Dohertyの「I’m Alive」というポエトリーリーディングで、こちらの歌詞を読むとより解像度が上がると思います。
原曲ではいつかは脆く崩れてしまいそうなSOAKの朗読詞が、Fred againのアレンジにより、前向きに幸せを噛みしめるように聴こえるのが不思議です。
